Last year already, almost without any media response, the composer of the famous "Star Trek fanfare" died after several strokes at the age of 88 in Los Angeles. This was on 15 May 2008.
He not only composed the title theme of the original Star Trek series, but also large parts of the theme of the "Waltons", the "Superrman" film series, and several other TV series and movies. He even received two Oscar nominations for "The Pleasure Seekers" (1964) and "Doctor Doolittle" (1967).
Alexander Courage is dead! :-(
